What is a guardian-home?
Country Pearls Goldens created a Guardian-Home program to grow our breeding program while still providing each of our breeding dogs with a loving environment in a guardian family. By joining our program, you desire to and will act as a guardian for a dog that is either a female potential breeder or a proven breeder or a male potential breeder or a proven breeder Golden Retriever, subject to terms of agreement which you will receive upon inquiry.
Ownership and all right, title and interest in the Dog will remain with Country Pearls Goldens. Once the dog has finished the breeding program, we will transfer ownership to the guardian and the dog will undergo a vasectomy, leaving testicles in tact to aid in health of the dog or hysterectomy, leaving the ovaries to aid in the health of the dog. All medical expenses pertaining to breeding will be Country Pearls Goldens responsibility. The basic care, diet and health of the dog will be the responsibility of the guardian.
Anyone interested in our program is encouraged to apply. We are asking that you be in a 100 mile radius of Holyoke, CO but are willing to work with those who are seriously interested as far as the front range. Please also keep in mind when answering the questions below that none of them will amount to an automatic “no” due to your past or present.
